Dear Twin,
I would like to say thank you. Thank you for sharing a womb with me for nine months. Thank you for being a built-in best friend since the day we were conceived. Thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself every single day. Thank you for always having my back in fights with our brothers, friends and especially mom and dad. Thank you for sneaking out of the crib with me to go mess with the dog. Thank you for being willing to try all of my crazy ideas without hesitation.
Thank you for sticking up for me when no one else would. Thank you for being the only person I know I can count on every day, hour, minute and second of my life. You make me the person I was destined to be and I would not be where I am today without you. I forgive you for hogging all the room in the womb and sitting on me for nine months. Thank you for getting on my last nerve at least once a day and making me want to fight you, even though I know I will lose every time.
Thank you for teaching me how to fight for myself, whether it be through actual fights (that weren't even real fights) or encouraging me to be confident in who I am. You have always been my number one fan and my biggest critic, and for that, I cannot thank you enough. You taught me that I am the best I can be and that no one is perfect, and I do not need to be perfect to know my self-worth and self-importance.
Thank you for your passion. You put your entire heart and soul into everything that you do. Your motivation inspires me to be the best I can be and to work toward accomplishing all of my dreams.
Thank you for being the best shoulder to cry on, movie marathon partner, midnight snack maker, cuddle buddy and car duet singer. You make life fun, a little weird and always adventurous. Thank you for your spontaneity and free spirit, which is infectious because it encourages me to let loose and know how to have a good time.
Thank you for being just as weird as I am. There is no one else I'd rather eat an entire gallon of ice cream with and lie to mom about where it went.
Most importantly, thank you for being my person. From daily FaceTime calls to ugly Snapchats, you allow me to be the most authentic version of myself and let my freak flag fly. You challenge me, motivate me, amaze me and inspire me. You are my best friend and I am the most thankful person to know that I will have you right by my side for the rest of my life.
Thank you for being my twin.
