There are certain people in our lives that we need to thank, but always forget to. Our roommate is one of those people. They listen to you and try not to wake you up in the mornings when you are still sleeping, so here is a thank you letter to the best roommate out there.
Dear Roomie,
Thank you for everything you do for me, and the support that you always give me. You are excited for me when I have something coming up, and are happy for me when something goes my way. You lift me up when I am sad, whether it is by bringing me Milk Duds or driving me to Coldstone. So thank you for knowing that I can’t be sad when I am around sweets.
Thank you for always listening to me and having my side. I am beyond grateful that my room is a place where I let my stresses out, instead of my room being the cause of all my stress. Even when it has nothing to do with you, you listen. Like when I tell you how I will go about getting all my homework done for the day. It helps to plan it out out-loud, so thanks for nodding along with me.
Thank you for the endless amount of laughs. From tweeting me wisdom teeth videos, even though I am sitting in the chair across from you, to singing (more like screaming) out random songs. There is never a dull moment with you.
Thank you for always being up as late as I am, even though you wake up way earlier than me. Our late night talks are always something that I look forward to at the end of the day.
Thanks for all the “good lucks” that you give me before my tests, and for asking me how it went once I take it. You always reassure me that I studied so I will do great, even if that is not necessarily true.
Thank you for giving me a home on holidays and sharing your family with me.Thank you for the comfortable silences that we share while you watch "Ellen" and I watch "Dexter". Thank you for always liking and commenting on the pictures that I post, and helping me pick the right filters or captions. Thank you for running errands with me, whether on campus or off. Thank you for never letting me go do something alone when I don't want to. I am so lucky to have you as my roommate.
Most importantly, thank you for living with me and being such a good friend. You are one of the main reasons that I have enjoyed this semester so much. The year may be coming to an end, but our friendship most definitely isn’t.
I will always be right down the hall for you.
