A Thank You to my Stubborn Ex

Warning: Some are Lyrics, but worth the read... trust me...

Trace Adkins sang in 2006:

They say that smokin' ain't allowed in here
But I don't care
Try to sneak you some
Saw your buddies at the barber shop
And they sure fight a lot
Just like they've always done
You look at me
Like you don't know who I am
But that's alright
Cause I know who you are

Yes, you are stubborn and So AM I. Perfect match? I dont know anymore...

Thank you.

Thank you for teaching me for what love was. Thank you for letting annoy you. Thank you helping my Aniexty. Thank you for teaching that all guys are the same. Thank you for making me feel Beauitful when I didn't want too. Thank you for letting sleep on you when I was too tired to do anything. Thank you for understanding my hearing loss when no one didn't want too. Thank you for making KNOW what jealousy was. Thank you for not freaking out because I had a guy bestfriend...Most of all, thank you for being my only friend....

1. Thank you for teaching me what Love was.

Thank you for teaching that love is worth it. The definition of love in my words: being in love with someone who loves you back. Have you ever felt the same way? Of course you did, you just showed it through sweet texts and hugs, make out sessions, and etc. If we both, weren't so damn stubborn, we'd probably still together..

When I first met you, it was love at first sight. I had to figure out how I was gonna get to you, to be honest.. It worked out perfectly... Blake Shelton once sang,

She put the her in hurt
She put the why in try
She put the S.O.B. in sober
She put the hang in hangover (hangover)
She put the ex in sex
She put the low in blow
She put a big F.U. in my future
Yeah she's got a way
She's got a way with words
Yeah she's got a way with words

It took me a while to figure Me, you and us.. and then I realized.. There was a future for us...

2. Thank you allowing me to annoy you.

Thank you for showing me what it was like to annoy someone that I loved so much. Thank you for letting me sing whenever I wanted and just annoy you. Thank you for letting me control your radio when you didn't want it to be touched. Thank you for not getting upset over something really stupid.

3. Thank you for helping with my anexity, and thank you for letting me know what jealousy was.

Thank you for teaching me what being around people was. Thank you for teaching me what being around weird people was gonna do. You're great person. I mean, you were great all the time. I was nervous being around new people. But being with you made it great. You made me safer, more aware of what my surroundings were and enjoying the fun out of it. Also, thank you for letting me know what jealousy was. I was always jealous of the girls who got you before me, because they got to love you first. I didn't have that chance. They got to hug you, they got to hold your heart. I wasn't the first. I just wanted to be your last. I still do. Thank you for teaching me.

4. Thank you for lecturing me that not all guys are the same.

You're right, not all men are the same. Some girls will tell you that. Thank you for teaching me that some men are not assholes. But you were my asshole, get it? Thank you for teaching me that guys are afraid of commitment, thank you for teaching me that guys can be afraid of marriage. Thank you for teaching me you weren't one of them.

5. Thank you for making me beautiful.

Thank you for making me feel pretty on my worst days. Thank you for allowing me to feel pretty on my good days too. If I was tired, you still called me pretty. Thank you for calling me beautiful every chance you got. I wore hardly any maekeup and you still called me beautiful. As Miranda Lambert sings "More Like Her"

She's beautiful in her simple little way
She don't have too much to say when she gets mad
She understands, she don't let go of anything
Even when the pain gets really bad
I guess I should've been more like that

You had it all for a pretty little while
And somehow you made me smile when I was sad
You took a chance on a bruised and beaten heart
And then you realized you wanted what you had
I guess I should've been more like that

It made me realize, I only had to be myself.. around you! Then again, thank you.

6. Thank you for just not judging me when I needed someone to understand my hearing loss or myself.

Thank you for understanding my hearing loss. Every time I dated a guy, they would drop me because I would tell them I had a hearing loss. Thank you for not doing it, just because I was a girl with a hearing loss. Thank you for understanding me. Reminding who I was. Thank you for understanding that I was not trash, and not throwing me away.

7. Thank you for not having a panic attack over myself for having a bestfriend who's a guy.

Just because he was a guy, thank you for understanding that I grew up with him, and letting me talk to him when he was just a friend. I knew my limits. He was a friend who could give me advice about something and be so understanding about it. Sometimes he would even be in the same boat. He knew about my past. Sure you did too, thank you for understanding that I had a rough past.

8. You realized I was not perfect.. but I was perfect for you...

I clearly knew it from the start that you were the one, because you saw the world in me.. and the future.

Thank you for making me laugh, enjoy my constant weirdness, my coffee addiction. My stubbornness, I mean you were too. I dealt with pettiness, the awful arguments sometimes and the love-hate we had for each other. Thank you for appreciating my Luke Bryan obsession. (Haha) Thank you for dealing with my stress. Thank you. Just thank you for helping get my head out of my ass and realize what and who I wanted in life...

1. My coffee Addiction: You were a coffee person, which I had to love about you too.

2. My Luke Bryan Obsession.

If you wanted to get serious, Why didn't you say so, I would have done it. I wouldn't have listened to anyone.. Now that this is something... Jana Kramer wrote a lyric.. "I got the boy... she got the man.." I Don't know what I have.. I mean.. What do I have? I mean.. I would have had what, both? If we weren't so bull-headed?

We each got something, the other will never have
I got the long hair, hot head
She got the cool and steady hand
I got the boy and she got the man
I got the boy and she got the man

P.S I never given up. You're still my bestfriend. I wouldn't trade you for the world.

You used to tell me and everyone.. you wouldnt find another woman like me.. but..

I ain't been around the world
But I've been around the block
Don't claim to know it all
I just know what I got
Something I've never had
And I ain't gonna lose
No baby
Ain't no woman like you
(Trace Adkins:2006)

I will never stop loving someone who taught me a lot about life..

They say life is not about smoking weed, getting high, having sex.. its about growing up.. They say its all true. We had alot to learn.. but truth is, I learned alot from being with you...

Love the girl who was never afraid to love.. you.

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
