Roomie,
It’s crazy to believe that one person has the power to change your life. As I reflect on the past eight months of living together, I simply wanted to catch up on a few thank-yous that I owe you:
Thank you for always being my go-to person to always get food with.
Thank you for putting up with me when I feel the need to sing “Pillowtalk” at the top of my lungs.
Thank you for always letting me borrow your clothes because yours are always so much cuter than mine.
Thank you for the spontaneous trips to wherever we feel like going that day.
Thank you for calling me out when I am doing (or saying) something stupid.
Thank you for always being up to dance it out.
Thank you for reminding me I have class, or waking me up so I don’t miss my class.
Thank you for being like a mom and nursing me back to health when I am sick.
Thank you for accepting me when I look completely homeless.
Thank you for letting me vicariously live through you when you have your crazy stories to tell.
Thank you for always remembering your room key when I always somehow seem to forget mine.
Thank you for always being up to binge watching “Greys Anatomy” while eating Yogurtland.
Thank you for screaming High School Musical songs at the top of your lungs with me and embracing our inner twelve-year-old.
Thank you for making me laugh in times when I needed it most.
Thank you for always being there during this crazy whirlwind of freshman year.
Thank you for securing your place as my future bridesmaid.
Thank you for being you, and for being the wonderful human that has forever changed my life.
As I look back about eight months ago toward the beginning of my freshman year, I would have never guessed that this person that I was randomly assigned to share a room with would ultimately become my best friend. I can never thank you enough for making my first year of college unforgettable.
Love,
Your Roomie
