To my boyfriend's family:
Let me tell you, I was so nervous to meet all of you. I had to make sure that I made a great first impression. No pressure, right? But you welcomed me with open arms, just like your son did. You greeted me with a smile and I couldn't have been happier. Over time, I became more comfortable and through all dinners, picnics, and parties, I got to know you all a lot better. And because of all the great memories from the first day to now, I wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for supporting me and your son's relationship. I know sometimes it's hard to let this girl come in from nowhere and have her become your son's whole world, but you saw how happy we were and I guess you decided to let me stick around. You always want to take cute pictures of us and talking about the two of us being married and having a family of our own someday is a topic that comes up quite a few times in your house. It's the best feeling knowing that you not only approve of us being together, but you also want nothing but happiness for our future.
Thank you for accepting my family along with me. Trust me, they can be a little crazy! But they love your son and are so happy that I have such a caring boyfriend . Over the past two years, I've watched our two families melt into one, and it makes me smile just thinking about it. Whether it's a backyard barbecue at your house or a homemade pasta dinner at mine, our families always have a fun time together.
Thank you for becoming my second family. I finally have the sisters I've always wanted! I'm always invited to every single family event of yours, I'm introduced to more people than I can remember, and family dinners truly feel like family dinners to me. Your home has become my second home, and my car is there so much that it has its own parking space in your driveway. I truly feel like a part of the family.
Most importantly, though, thank you for raising such an amazing son and grandson. I love him more than I could ever express in words. He respects me, is loyal to me, can always make me smile, and has shown me what true love is. I know he wouldn't be nearly as amazing as he is without you to guide him and and show him what's right and wrong. I certainly am blessed to have him by my side, and I want you to know that everything I do for my future is going towards our future together. I will never take his love for granted, and I'm so excited to start my life with him soon.
