A Thank You Note To Coffee

A thank you to a cup of coffee I always need.

A Thank You Note To Coffee

To an iced coffee, a hot latte, a blonde roast, and an espresso shot:

Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for picking me up when I am groggy, helping me get through a work shift, and tasting so delicious. You have never let me down. I know I can always count on you to pick up my spirits and make me the happiest person in the world.

One of the best things is that I can get you almost anywhere.

If I want to save money but still have a tasty cup, I can drive to Dunkin and maybe even treat myself to a donut as well. After all, what's better than a nice cup of coffee with a sweet doughy treat along with it? (Nothing is...). If I'm feelin like spending a little more than usual, I can stop on over at Starbucks where I can choose from a variety of coffee specialties like a Frappuccino or a latte. I might even try adding some almond or coconut milk to my coffee...but let's not get carried away. But my best bet is having freshly brewed coffee from the comfort of my home accompanied by my Coffeemate Peppermint Mocha Creamer (which is to die for!!). I don't have to spend a dime and get to drink a cup feeling like it's Christmas!

Secondly, your taste is out of this world.

The first sip of a fresh cup is surely to awaken your taste buds and give you pure happiness. Just walking into a coffee shop and smelling the fresh coffee beans being grinded is one of the best things ever (right below the taste of course). Along with that, I can get any kind of flavored coffee I want: vanilla, blueberry, caramel, hazelnut...the choices are endless.

Thirdly, you can always keep me alert and going.

I know that if I need something to keep me awake and full of energy, you coffee, are ALWAYS going to be the one for the job. While some days may be easier than others, I know that you will always do your best to wake me up and keep me going all day long whether it is an early start in the morning or an afternoon pick me up. You can make a bad day better and for that, I thank you coffee.

Finally, there is always a variety of choices.

Maybe one day, I am in the iced coffee mood. The next day, I might want a hot vanilla latte or maybe I might be craving a black coffee. Who knows! With coffee, the options are endless and it is sure to make everyone happy, unless for some reason you hate coffee (but we don't associate with those kind of people). With variety, comes different ways of brewing as well such as blonde roasts, medium roasts, and dark roasts. Coffee, you make it easy for everyone to like you.

With all that being said, thank you for being YOU, coffee. I would surely be lost without you to accompany my days of working, studying, and writing continuously. You really are the best. Thanks a latte!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
