We all know the saying, "Mom knows best." And although we hate to admit it, it's true. Moms are always right. Here's a little thank you to my mom for everything she's done and continues to do.

Thank you for teaching me how to be independent. Without your guidance, I wouldn't be able to live on my own or do anything for myself. I can pay my own bills, do my own laundry, and stick up for myself, because of you.

Thank you being my No. 1 supporter. No matter what I do, I can always count on you to be by my side. I know that if I am happy, you're happy.

Thank you for being my person to laugh with. We always find the same things funny and have our own little inside jokes that no one else will understand. You're always fun to be around! I'm actually convinced that my friends come over to hang out with you rather than me most of the time.

Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on. Sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry, but I know I can always come to you if something is bothering me. You've helped me through all the bad times and the heartache.

Thank you for pushing me to reach my goals and dreams. You have never thought that anything was out of my reach, but you are always realistic when it comes to the real world. When I make mistakes, you don't punish me. You teach me to learn and grow from them.

Thank you for telling me how proud you are all the time. I try my best to make you proud.

Thank you for always making me wear that jacket when I didn't want to. Once again, you were right! It was cold out and I was glad to have the sweatshirt with me, even though I initially protested against it.

Thank you for being selfless. You would do anything to see any of your children smile. You have always gone to all of my school functions and sporting events no matter what else was going on. It's little things like that that mean the most.

Thank you for being my best friend. Even though there is a fine line between being a friend and being a mother, you happen to be the perfect amount of both.

Thank you for your unconditional love. It means more than you'll ever know.
