It is impossible to thank everyone in our lives for everything they have done for us. From our parents, to our friends, and to our siblings, they have all done incredible things for us. Here are just a few short letters to the people I love most in my life.
Dear Dad:
Thank you for teaching me how to live passionately and to be strong. You never do anything half-heartedly, and you show incredible dedication to everything that is important to you. You stand by your beliefs and are always honest. Thank you for always supporting me and my adventures. You never doubt me and are always there for offer encouragement and guidance. But I thank you also for being the stern voice when I need one and for never letting me settle. Thank you for showing how a man should act and treat his wife, children, family, and everyone around him. And finally, thank you for helping me to never give up on myself and for being such an incredible father.
Dear Mom:
Thank you for teaching me what unfaltering faith, love, and happiness look like. You truly have the kindest soul and you always put other’s needs ahead of your own. You have faith not only in God, but you also have faith in me, so thank you for showing me what dedication to faith looks like. Thank you for always showing your love for our family by all the things you do on a daily basis for us. Thank you also for always having a positive, happy spirit. No matter what the situation, you have taught me to always keep my head up and stay positive and optimistic. You bring so much joy and love to everyone around you. And finally, thank you for never being afraid to be yourself, because it has taught me to value myself for who I am.
Dear Bailey:
Thank you for being my lifelong best friend and for sharing in all my adventures with me. We have so many great memories already together and I can’t wait to share more in the future. Thank you for always setting the bar high and for setting such a positive example for me as a little girl. I have always looked up to you, so thank you for being my hero and role model for life. Thank you for being a complete weirdo that I can be my complete weirdo self with. Thank you for completely understanding and accepting me for who I am. Thank you for always preserving through hardship because it has taught me to do the same. And thank you always being there—whether it be to talk, to be weird, to dance, to cry... No matter what, you are always there and I know you have my back. Thank you for wanting to go on adventures with me, no matter how crazy they might seem. And finally, thank you for being a part of this family because I don’t know what I would do without my big sister.
Dear friends:
Thank you for accepting me for my strange, weird self and for loving me regardless. You always have my back and are there when I need it. Thank you for listening to me ramble and talk about the weirdest things. Thank you also for arguing with me because it proves our friendship can handle whatever is thrown our way. Thank you for being loyal, even if you are far away and I don’t see you as I often as I’d like. Thank you for all the advice you give me, but also for helping me to make my own decisions. And finally, thank you for all of the laughs and good memories. I cherish them and I cherish you.
Thank you to all the important people in my life. The letters could go on and on because we all need to acknowledge others and say thank you more often. The people in our lives do many things for us that go unnoticed, but we need to let others know that we appreciate everything they do for us. So thank you to all of the people that have influenced in my life. I appreciate you. I love you. I thank you.
