For being the person that I could go to when everything was piling one on top of the other. Whether it was homework, a job, sports, or other activities, you were always there to support me and guide me through it. I know you didn’t have to sit and listen to me talk about all of my troubles and worries, but you did and it meant the world to me.

For seeing me as an individual that could excel in more ways than I thought was possible. I had many days where I would get down on myself, and doubt my abilities – and you were always right there telling me that I could do it. I could be anyone I wanted to be, and I could be really good at being that person too. I never would have reached so high into my goals if it weren’t for you.

For being a friend when I needed one the most. In all of the years where I was trying to figure out who I was and where I belonged, you were always there supporting me through all of it. Some are doubtful that a teacher can be a friend, but I know that you were one of my closest and most encouraging ones.
