Dear Mom,
As a young woman just starting your life out, getting married and having kids, you never imagined you would have to do it alone. You would always have your partner in crime, your other half, and your soulmate by your side forever, but sometimes fate does not always work out that way when tragedy strikes and you find yourself having to raise your children without their father. I cannot imagine what it felt like to be in your shoes at this moment or ever. Your strength shown then and throughout this struggle amazes me everyday and I thank you for never giving up even when times got hard. I am so proud of you. This is a thank you letter to you Mom, to tell you how much I appreciate you and all your hard work.
Thank you for always being there for me no matter what happened. I knew growing up and even know now that no matter how much trouble I got myself into, you would always be there to help me through it. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader. No matter what goal I am trying to achieve you are always right there supporting me every step of the way. Mom, you have always supported me and always continue to. Even when my dreams seem a little out of reach you are always the first person to tell me I can make my dreams a reality, and never give up on them when I wanted to give up on them myself.
Thank you for being mom and dad. Playing both roles probably isn't very easy when you want to be caring and compassionate, but had to be the disciplinarian first. When boy problems arose and my dad wasn't there to scare them away, you took on that role, along with being a shoulder to cry on when I got hurt by them. Mom, you were constantly there for me in whatever way I needed you to be. There wasn't a moment that went by that I didn't think you were doing a great job being mom and dad. You truly are an amazing woman and I truly am lucky to learn from you everyday.
Mom, most importantly, thank you for being the strongest woman I know. Not a day goes by that I don't wish to have half the strength you have day in and day out. You truly are the most amazing person I know and I am so honored to learn from you everyday. Thank you for making my dreams your dreams and I will forever be thankful for you. Thank you mom for being you. I love you to the moon and back.
Love always, Your Daughter
