A Thank You Letter To My Team

I can't believe it's finally over. I can still remember writing my application and sitting down for my interview as if it was just yesterday. I met you guys about a year and a half ago and let me tell you that I never expected to get so close to any of you at all. If I'm completely honest, I didn't even like some you( it's okay because I adore you now). Little did I know that after months of working together, I would end up befriending and loving you all. We all started out as coworkers but along the way it evolved into genuine friendship. It was bound to happen, I mean we trained for 3 hours a day each week for a whole semester. Then for a summer we spent countless hours a day working together from 5:45 am to 5:00 pm. When you're with people for that long, how do you not become friends? The crazy thing is that I don't think any of us believed we'd become friends. Being coworkers is one thing but taking the time to get to know someone is another. But that's what we did. I remember us talking about how we thought we'd never be as close as the previous team. Look at us now.

I am so proud of each and every one of us, and we should be proud because we deserve to be. The journey was not an easy one; it was long, exhausting and at times very demanding, but we made it. Thank you guys for being an incredible team. For giving me a summer I will never forget. Thank you for giving me some beautiful memories that I will always cherish. Memories of the most random moments we shared. From singing T-pain to standing on the stairs and talking the dumbest things.

Most importantly thank you for each teaching me something. Believe it or not, I learned something from every single one of you. It's because of you all that I have grown and matured as a person. Thank you for that.
It's sad to say that the odds of us ever being in the same room again are slim. I say this because we're busy, living our lives, graduating, heck one of us did already, but also because we're moving to on to bigger and better thing for each of us as individuals. I hope you all know that if you ever need anything, I'm here. I always will be. Thank you and don't forget to slay, all day.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
