Dear Team,
Thank you for always being there for me when I needed you most.
Thank you for always listening to me complain when we all were thinking how much we just didn't want to run that extra sprint.
Thank you for the movie nights and the long talks in the hotel rooms that ended in endless laughter and bags under my eyes the next morning.
Thank you for fighting with me for a shower after a game, or telling me that my hair didn't look too flat from the pre-wrap that molded it to my forehead.
Speaking of pre wrap, thank you for all the pieces and strips that you have donated to my I-need-pre-wrap-asap fund.
Thank you for all the long weekends where we all helped each other with homework even though my major is the compete opposite of your major. Buy hey, at least we both know now of the chemical bonds that make up an atom— I think.
Thank you for all the wins, all the losses, and everything in between. Without you those rides would have been that much longer.
Remember that time we played in complete mud?
Thanks for the backup when Coach wanted to play his man movies while we were all screaming for Pitch Perfect. I am still waiting on our amateur acapella group by the way.
Also, thank you for the many group message chats that got me through all of my classes. Without you I would actually have to listen the whole lectures instead of the five minutes after I was told to put my phone up.
But most of all thank you for all the memories that we have made and are sure to come. After 17 years of soccer my team is what has always kept my addiction strong. My love for the game comes from about 30% soccer and 70% relationships with the girls to the left and right of me. Who knows where I would be without y'all.
So thank you for the time and the effort that we put in together. I will never be able to repay you. I pray for us and for our love of the game.
