Dear Roommate/Best Friend

1. Thank you for accepting me for who I am and becoming my long lost sister in such a short amount of time. I knew since our quick conversations over the Facebook group that we were going to be two peas in a pod.

2. Thank you for always being down to go on adventures at random hours with me.

3. Thank you for always jumping out of bed when I walk into the room to tell me something funny that happened earlier.

4. Thank you for loving food just was much as I do and for always being on the hunt for new, artsy restaurants.

5. Thank you for dancing with me while blasting throwback Justin Bieber songs.

6. Thank you for listening to me sing in the shower and for even singing along with me when I'm belting Demi Lovato.

7. Thank you for being just as celebrity obsessed as I am and for spontaneously taking trips to find them.

8. Thank you for staying up until 3:00 a.m. with me, giggling over little things because we are extremely overtired and can't fall asleep.

9. Thank you for being my personal makeup/hair artist and for picking my outfits on the daily because your style is so trendy and I am totally the opposite.

10. Thank you for always reminding me to take an umbrella when I'm running late to class and don't have time to look outside the window.

11. Thank you for always asking me if I wanted anything from the dining hall before you walked back to our room.

12. Thank you for having the same sense of humor as me, and for laughing at things that nobody but us finds hilarious.

13. Thank you for movie nights and binge watching Netflix on stressful, long days.

14. Thank you for always boosting my confidence by reassuring me that I can do anything I set my mind to.

15. Thank you for telling me how it is sometimes, even if I do not like the truth.

16. Thank you for being my balance in life, for calming me down when I'm overwhelmed with homework or internships and for pushing me to be the best version of myself I can possibly be.

But, most importantly...

17. Thank you for being the shoulder I cry on when I feel like there's too much weight on my back, for always knowing when I'm in need of a pick-me-up when I don't say it, and for becoming my best friend and life long partner in crime.

I am so lucky to have found you, you are truly a blessing and I love you so much.

Love,

Your Roommate/Best Friend For Life

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
