Even through its ups and down, my freshman year of college was one of the best years of my entire life. Even though I endured plenty of tears (both happy and sad, I may add), I wouldn’t change a thing about the way that my year played out.
To my freshman year best friends,
Thank you for always being there at a moment’s notice, no matter what. Thank you for always being up to order pizza with me at 2 a.m. on a Saturday. Thank you for always being up to having throwback impromptu dance parties with me (shout-out to my forever favorites, the Jonas Brothers.) Thank you for always being there to give me a hug when I needed it most.
Thank you for helping me come a little bit out of my comfort zone. Thank you for pressing "send" on all of the texts to boys that I was too afraid to send. And thank you for telling me, yes, the winky emoji that I was debating was just fine. Thank you for telling me that I always looked good when we were getting ready to go out, even if I knew it wasn’t true.
Thank you for being my rocks. Thank you for always keeping me in check, even if it was using tough love. Thank you for telling me that a test isn’t everything, that one grade doesn’t define me and that I can always do better on the next one.
I have gained friendships and memories that I want to hold onto forever. I met some of the most amazing people I know in my life in this past year, and I can’t wait to see what the next three years hold.
I Love You All!
Aileen
