When mom and dad first told me I was going to be a big sister, I really had no idea what to expect. I wasn’t sure if we were going to get along or if I would even be a good big sister. I was so nervous. After you were born, things definitely got easier, and I was so excited to have you as a brother. Little did I know that you would become my best friend.

Thank you for always being there for me. You are there for every performance or competition. You are there to support me and cheer me on. You are there to hug me when I need it.

Thank you for never failing to make me laugh. The amount of times you have made me laugh just by doing something random is endless. I could be having the worst day ever, and I know you can easily make it better just by saying some stupid comment.

Thank you for accepting me and my goofy self. I am able to be myself around you. Yes, sometimes you make fun of some of the weird things I do, like my spontaneous dancing, but I know deep down you think it’s awesome.

Thank you for loving me when I drive you crazy. As siblings, it’s our job to annoy each other. Thank you for tolerating me when I won’t leave you alone after you point out how I am annoying you.

Thank you for making situations less awkward. If it wasn’t for you, I’m not sure if I could get through certain events. You always know how to lighten the mood or make things a little less tense.

Thank you for the years of memories we have made together. We have so many wonderful memories spent together. I will always cherish playing with you at the park or in the back yard. I will never forget the countless family vacations we went on. All of our memories have a special place in my heart.

Thank you for being protective. Yes, you may be the “little” brother. However, you are definitely a lot bigger and stronger than me. I know if anyone hurts me, you will have my back. Your approval on who I’m dating is very important because I know you are just looking out for me.

Thank you for just being you. You are such an amazing little brother, and I honestly don’t know what I would do without you.

I know we don’t get to see each other as much since I am away at school, but when are together, it’s like I never left. We are able to pick up where we left off and create more memories together. It always makes me happy when people say how cool it is that we are so close. I am so proud of everything you do. You truly are my best friend. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.
