In college you form friendships lasting a lifetime within just a short couple months. I was blessed to find an amazing group of friends quickly, making my year better than I could have ever imagined. For this I want to say "thank you."
Thank you for being there through many firsts.
First time living on my own.
First time navigating a college campus.
First time trying to shop for groceries and not buying just ramen.
First college crush.
Thank you for accompanying me on many late night adventures.
Will you pull an all nighter with me so I can pass this class?
Oh, that doughnut shop is four-hours away, but has great Yelp reviews? OK!
Who wants to get in the car and race to Taco Bell before they close at 3 a.m.?
Thank you for being there to celebrate.
Birthdays, passing exams I never thought were passable, getting the internship you thought was out of your league? You were always one call away and my number one cheerleader. When I found out in class I got the job in fall I wanted, you stopped what you were doing to meet me in the hallway for a celebratory mini dance party and hug.
Thank you for being there to to cry with after a long day.
Knowing I have a group of people I can call at any hour is so comforting. College can be emotionally exhausting. I can always count on you to meet me for a vent session and you will not judge my tears. We can talk for hours and I know I will not be judged and that you genuinely care.
Yes, that girl from work sucks.
We all failed together.
Your boyfriend did what?
Let's talk about it.
I am so thankful for our friendship and the year we have spent together. You all have become like family and I cannot imagine how I could have made it through this school year without you.
