I love you more than you know. Well, maybe you do know, as I only tug on you more than 30 times a day. Even though you run away from me when I lean in for a hug, you are there for me no matter what. Somehow, you know when I truly need your support. You are the best cuddle buddy any pet owner could ask for. You mean the world to me and I make that quite evident.
Although I dread picking up your doo doo, I enjoy just about everything else. When I leave for work or school, I know that you will be there to welcome me home. I look forward to your whimpering whines and giant leap into my arms. Aside from when I am wearing all black. Even when I leave to take out the trash for no longer than a few minutes, you never fail to get excited to see me again. You make me feel special and I know that deep inside, you love me as well. You may scratch me with your long claws and cover me in dog hair, but your wet kisses make up for it all. All of my friends, even Facebook followers, know just how much I adore you. On holidays, I have to take a picture with you and I am not ashamed to post it all over the internet. My camera roll is full of pictures of you. Therefore, you are to blame for my low storage. That is okay though, because I can't help but snap pictures of you each day.
You are my best friend and number one fan. I may yell at you for taking a slice of pizza off of the table or even out of my hands, but who doesn't love a great slice of pizza. Dogs sure do. Also, I know I tug on you more than you enjoy. However, you'll just have to deal with it because I am not going to stop. I can never get enough of your adorable face and wagging tail. Fear not, I will be sure to secretly hand you some meat beneath the table to make up for it all. This will probably lead you into pooping on the floor, but i'll shake that off too. Let me add that I don't understand how you sleep all day. I honestly just want you to pay attention to me. Sorry in advance for waking you up a million times within the next day. Anyhow, thanks for being a great friend even when you hate me.
I don't know what I'll do without you when the day comes. Just know that I love you more than words can describe. You have been there for me through thick and thin. You were there for it all and I can only thank you for spending every milestone with me. I apologize for loving you too much, but I know you do too. I also know that dogs can't read, but if they could, I know you would. However, we both know that you are more than just a dog, you're my superhero and best friend. You'll always just be that.
