Dear each of my beloved kitties,
From day one, you have never judged me and have always been right by my side. I’m truly thankful for that. I can honestly say I would be a different person if I hadn’t grown up around you. I learned how to be compassionate and was given the ability to care for and love something other than myself. Through the ups and downs, you were and still are my best friend. I wouldn’t change a thing about you or our memories.
Thank you for never failing to cheer me up when I’m in a bad mood. Whether it was by just being cute, rubbing your head on mine, meowing or purring, it somehow always worked. I’ll never forget the nights where I would be lying in bed in tears and you would hop right up to comfort me. The rest of the night would be spent with my arms around you. I’m thankful for you never leaving.
Thank you for always somehow finding your way onto my lap. Even if I’m doing homework, I will always find room for you. Having you on my lap brings me comfort. Whether I’m watching TV, or falling asleep at night or doing work, you will always be welcome to lay by me.
Thank you for never judging me. On the days where I’m sitting in sweatpants with my hair up in a bun and glasses on, or even the days where I feel like I’m on top of the world, you still look at me with those same big, bright eyes. You have showed me unconditional love.
Thank you for allowing me to take pictures of how cute you are. I know I can be a little obsessive with taking pictures. So even if I already have over 20 pictures of you in my camera roll from the same day, you never complain. Please know that when I’m away, I look back at those pictures and think of how much I miss you.
Thank you for never forgetting who I am and always welcoming me home with loud purrs. It always puts a smile on my face when I walk in the door and see you sitting there waiting for me, like you had a feeling I was coming home. Even though I’m gone a lot more now, I will never forget you and it makes me happy to know you’re always excited to see me. I cherish every single moment I get with you and I want you to know how much of an impact you’ve truly had on me.
