A grandmother is one of the most special and important people that you can have in your life as a woman. She has so much wisdom to share with you, she loves you unconditionally, and she'll forever support you. As far as i'm concerned grandmothers know just about everything. They know how to cheer you up when you're feeling down. They make the absolute best dinners, i mean really nothing can compare to that homemade sauce your grandmother makes. And lets not forget the fact that they spoil you like no other and always take your side against your parents.

The love we have for our "nanas" or whatever you may call her, is unlike any other. However, sometimes we forget to show them how much we love and appreciate them. Its important that you try to spend time with them because as you get old they may feel like you're forgetting about them. You never know when they will no longer be around and you don't want to regret not spending time with them.

So, here is a thank you to my Nana to show her how much I really do appreciate her.

Dear Nana,

Thank you for putting up with me even when i'm at my worst. I know that i'm hard to handle at times and give you attitude for absolutely no apparent reason. I know that we get in fights and you feel like I take you for granted. I'm sorry for ever making you feel this way.

Thank you for always taking care of me when I am sick and no one else is around. You are always the first one to show up at my house and bring me my favorite soup. You sit with me and watch movies and tell me all of your remedies on how to feel better. It makes me feel better just knowing that you are there for me whenever I need you.

Thank you for never giving up on me. You have always encouraged me to be the best that I can be. You sat through my softball games even though I never hit a single ball. You watched my dance recitals even though I almost always messed up the dance. You showed up at every game and competition in the 11 years that I cheered. But, you never, ever let me quit even when it was tough and I wanted to.

Thank you for giving the best advice. Anytime I need advice on anything you are always there to give your opinion. I value your opinion so much and knowing that you'll always tell me the honest truth is so important to me.

Most importantly, thank you for being you. I feel so incredibly lucky that I was blessed with a grandmother as great as you. I know that there is nothing you wouldn't do for me. I want you to know that I do appreciate every single thing you do for me even though i don't always show it. You mean the world to me and I truly don't know what I would do without you.
