Dear friends,

I have so much to say to you guys. Let me start of by saying thank you for choosing to come to the same school as me because without that choice, we wouldn't have met. Making friends in college is hard but I am so thankful that I found you guys. You guys made adjusting to a new environment seem effortless. My actions can never show you how grateful I am for you guys, so let me say a few words to help show what you guys mean to me. Thank you forever for...

For accepting my weirdness

Everyone has qualities about them that make them weird in some way. Thank you for not judging anything weird that I did throughout the year! Without you guys accepting me for who I am, I don't think I would've ever found friends that did accept me.

For eventful weekends

The weekend is a time for us to unwind from the crazy week that just ended, and it gives us time to prepare us for the upcoming week ahead. Whether it was ice skating, staying in for movies, going out at night, going shopping, or even having dance parties in someone's room, you guys always made the weekend more enjoyable.

For listening to my stories from home

I know I talked a lot about my life at home but I couldn't help my self. I wanted you guys to feel connected to my life away from school. I wanted you guys to feel like you knew who my best friends were at home and how you guys would good friends too if you ever met.

For dealing with my breakdowns

Being away at school is hard and having a breakdown once or twice throughout the year is almost expected by every college student. Whether it was failing a test you studied hours for, missing home, or boy trouble, you guys were always there for me and helping me be in a better mood.

For always eating with me

Eating just so happened to be one of the many things that we all had in common, no matter what time of day. Thank you for not letting me eat alone for meals, and thank you for always having food in your rooms to share with everyone.

For helping me with homework

No matter what classes we were all taking, we all made sure to help each other get through the classes we were struggling in. Having friends with all different majors really helped because at least one person was able to help you no matter what.

For sharing your bed

No matter whose room we were in, we always had a bed to lay in. You guys opened your rooms to me and made me feel like I was living in my room. Thank you for letting me take naps in your bed while you did school work.

For the sleepless nights

On nights that we would not go to sleep either from talking, studying, or working on homework we had for at least a month, you guys made those nights easier. Without you guys talking to me during all nighter's, I don't think I would've made it through the semesters.

For being you

Being you is easy to do in college when you have a good group of friends. Thank you for being so understanding about everything and making me almost pee my pants several times a day.

Having friends in college will stick with you for pretty much the rest of your life. You guys get to experience some of the hardest years and times together. They become family to you and every break you guys get becomes harder for you guys to say goodbye. Having friends in college means you get to have a special family bond with them, that friends at home don't really get to see. So thank you guys again for everything, I am who I am today because of you guys.

Sincerely,

A college friend

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
