Thank You To All My Sophomore Year Suitemates
Monika Litynski

As the year comes to an end, and we pack all of our stuff and move out for the summer in the next day or two, I would just like to thank all of my suitemates, both from the first semester and this semester.

Thank you, first semester suitemates, for showing me that communication is key in any relationship and is needed to grow closer to others. Also, thank you for teaching me what it really takes to be a good roommate. You guys definitely made my first official semester at college memorable.

Thank you to the four amazing girls I had the honor of living with this past semester. I loved all of our late-night conversations about literally everything other than what we were actually supposed to be doing. Thank you for teaching me that college isn't only supposed to be about studying and getting good grades, but rather having fun and making memories as well.

Thank you for letting me join your friend groups and welcoming me. Because of you guys and the things we had in common, I was able to feel welcome and like I finally belonged somewhere. Thank you for all the memories we made together, I will never forget them.

Thank you for loving me for who I am and for allowing me to love all of you as a result. It must have been hard to have to move out of your rooms in the middle of the year and move into a suite where you really didn't know the girls who would be living there. I feel like God placed you guys in my suite for this semester to teach me all these things and allow me to feel loved and like I finally belonged somewhere, for real.

Thank you for allowing me to learn from you guys what it takes to have a deep and intimate relationship with our Lord. I have grown in so many ways because of you guys.

Thank you for all the great memories I was able to create this year, and for allowing me to feel welcome and like I really belong at this college. With out a doubt, I know that I would not be where I am today in my faith, in my relationships with others, in how I see myself, etc. without God having placed all of you in my suite for this semester.

Because you all were able to trust God so much and allow him to uproot you from the living arrangements you had set up and gotten used to, you were able to create a huge impact on someone that you otherwise would not have, if God had not placed you where you needed to be.

Thank you once again for everything, and I wish all of you the best in wherever God puts you guys in the future. I pray that you guys will be able to impact more lives like you were able to impact mine.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
