Mom and Dad,
Since the day I was born, you guys have done nothing but provide for me and raise me into the person that I have grown to be today. I could not be more thankful for that.
Being away at school is hard because I don't get to see you guys as often as I would like. But not being able to see you for this long always makes seeing you that much more exciting.
Even though we are 143 miles apart and I am basically living on my own, you guys still find ways to help me out and show me how much you care for me.
Since I don't get to see you both for months at a time, I never really get to thank you for all you have done for me. Sure, a "thank you" text here and there is fine, but it isn't enough. So here is a formal "thank you note" for everything you have done for me.
Let's just start at the beginning. Ever since I was a kid, you have been encouraging me to follow my dreams, no matter how crazy they were. When I said I wanted to be a dancer, you put me in dance class. When I said I wanted to sing, you got me singing lessons. When I said I wanted to be on TV, you put me in acting classes. When I said I wanted to learn how to play guitar, drums, piano and violin, you guys made it happen. No matter what my crazy plan was at that time, you always found a way to help me try to reach it, even though usually I would change my mind after a week.
Even now that I am a sophomore in college, you still find a way to do as much as you can for me and provide more than I could even imagine. Whether it's sending me money for food, or paying all my bills, or sending little care package full of sweets and goodies, you always find some way to help me out. I couldn't be more grateful for that.
Being an adult now, I know it isn't easy to get everything you want. Everything costs money. Being an adult is expensive, and being the parents of three kids is even more expensive. I know that we aren't billionaires. We don't have a never ending supply of money. I have learned that money, in fact, does not grow on trees. Yet somehow, regardless of that, you both have provided above and beyond of me and my sisters. You've given us everything we've ever wanted and even more.
I know I don't say it enough, but thank you. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for everything you are currently doing for me. And thank you for everything that you will do for me in the future. Because of you guys, I am following my dreams. I am so blessed to have parents as caring, loving and amazing as you guys. I love you both to the moon and back.
