Dear Mommy,
First of all, I hope you understand that you are much more than just a mother to me, you are my role model. Our relationship started off as a typical mother daughter relationship does. I could not stay over at a friend's house when I was younger because I missed you. As I got older and entered my "teenage years" I began to start fights with you and blamed you for every irrational thing possible. Now, Mom, I am so very thankful for you.
As I entered college, I came in with the mindset that I could not wait to leave home and be "free." Little did I know that I would be calling you at three in the morning complaining about life's little and big obstacles.
Thank you so much Mom for everything.
Thank you for answering all my stupid questions ranging from how to cook to how to separate my laundry. Thank you for always calling to check in and ask me how my day was. Thank you for becoming tech savvy and understanding how to use your new, cool iPhone 6 just to text me and keep me entertained during my classes. Thank you for forgiving me when I forget to call back.
Thank you for being the class mom almost every year and the Girl Scout troop leader even when I was the only one left in the troop. Thank you for dressing up for the Halloween parades in elementary school.
Thank you for laying down with me when I couldn't sleep. Thank you for listening to me complain about stupid boys that hurt me and thank you for always reminding me that I deserve the very best. Thank you for knowing exactly what to do to make me feel better and knowing exactly what to give me when I am sick. Being away from you at school when I am sick is definitely one of the hardest things in the world.
Thank you for standing up for me when my siblings ganged up against me. You have always taken my side no matter what. You are my number one fan and cheerleader. Also, shout out to you for giving me my other two best friends, my siblings. You have given me all that I could ever ask for.
Thank you for putting up with me when I was in my middle school stage. Thank you for advising me on what to wear and what not to wear.
Thank you for forgiving me when I make mistakes.
Thank you for showing me what hard work and dedication looks like. You have one of the hardest occupations and I could not be more proud to watch you handle every situation that comes your way. Thank you for being selfless and always putting the happiness of your family first.
Thank you for showing me what true love is. Life throws different obstacles at each one of us, but you have always been true to what really matters. I am beyond lucky to have parents that love and cherish each other so much. I only hope to have a relationship as special as yours when I grow up.
Thank you for being my role model, I truly hope to be like you in every single way when I have kids of my own. Thank you for being my unconditional best friend.
Thank you for doing it all. You inspire me each and everyday.
Thank you for always being on my side, I love you to the moon and back.
Love always,
Your Favorite Daughter
