Dear Mentors,

I want to thank you for giving me advice, believing in me, and just being you. Coming into college, I was shy but motivated to learn and grow. I've changed a lot these past two years and I have you to thank for that.

You taught me to go after what I want. I set goals and accomplished them. This was all because I knew how hard you worked and I looked up to you. I strove to be like you and get my name out there. Thank you for being a great role model.

You introduced me to new organizations and people. Through you, I started my first internship, found meetups to attend, and met some pretty inspiring people. Thinking about how much I would have missed out on if I hadn't been paired up with you is why I am so thankful I did get you as a mentor.

You gave the best advice. Whether this advice was professional or personal, I valued it. I took it into my other internships and school-life. Thank you for teaching me how to be confident in my field.

The best part is you believed in me. Like I said, I'm a completely different person than I was coming into college and even a year ago. You saw something in me and gave me opportunities to learn and network.

So I thank you for taking your time to mentor me,

Your Mentee

To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before...

One of the things that I love most is space. I am a HUGE space nerd. Literally ask any of my friends. I was first introduced to space when my dad dragged me to see Star Trek. Since walking out of that movie theater in 6th grade, becoming an astronaut hasn't been just some wild dream that could come true.
