If you have been paying any attention to the primaries, you will know that Marco Rubio dropped out of the race for Republican nominee. If you have been paying attention to my twitter or Facebook, you would know that he was my first choice. You would also know that I was devastated when Trump won the 99 Florida delegates and Rubio dropped out of the race.
Dear Marco Rubio,
Thank you for everything you have done. You would have made a great president, and anyone who says otherwise is foolish. I do not regret making calls on behalf of your campaign or arguing with "Trumpkins" about how you were clearly the better choice. These "Trumpkins" just don't seem to understand what is going on, and I'm sorry.
I'm sorry that America could not see what a great leader you could be for this country. I'm sorry that America was not ready for a new American century. I'm sorry that everyone seems to be too full of hate and rage to care about actual policies. I'm sorry we have an entertainer as the front runner who acts like a teenager.
Thank you for giving someone in a younger generation hope that one day we will have a great leader. You are so optimistic about the country that it is truly inspiring. You actually knew what you were talking about in the debates and were very prepared. (Other than the repetitive thing, thanks Chris Christie for being a suicide bomber of a presidential candidate.)
Thank you for calling Trump out on his bulls*t. Thank you for bringing up Trump University, immigrant workers and his tiny hands. Thank you for not letting Trump push you around. Thank you for being real. Your campaign also started the #NeverTrump hashtag, thank you. Yes, I am bitter about Trump and how people seem to flock to him no matter what happens. People aren't looking for answers, they are looking for the loudest voice.
Thank you for telling your story of your working class family and your student loans. I believe the American dream is still real, and I want to believe it will be when I settle down and have children. It's amazing that someone from an average family can run for President.
Thank you for the campaign you ran. I know you're going to be out of the public eye for a little while, and I'll miss your optimism.
