Dear Dad,

I could never be more thankful that God chose me to be your daughter. You have been by my side from the very first breath that I took and you are still right by my side today. Thank you for that and for so much more.

Thank you for being you.

Thank you for supporting me.

Thank you for loving me.

Thank you for loving my momma.

Thank you always checking on me.

The person you are to me is something that I cannot put into words. You are such a giving and loving man. You have a big heart and it shows every time you are around people. You are always willing to help anyone in need. You read your bible every single morning and you are such a good Christian man. You are a very hard worker and you make sure to provide for your family. Mom and I never go without anything. You are one of the best men I know and I could not be more thankful for a father like you.

I have never been without a number one fan in life because I have always had you. You have been my biggest supporter throughout this crazy thing called life. In my entire life, you have only missed one softball game and that game was played on the day your mother died. You were with her which is exactly where you needed to be. You have been at every church event I have performed at and every activity I have participated in. You have never failed at letting me know that you believe in me. Thank you for that.

Having a father that loves me has been one of my biggest blessings in life. Every day I see kids without their fathers and it breaks my heart, but it also makes me appreciate the father I have in you. You love me no matter what and you stand by my side through thick and thin. I am so thankful to have a father that loves me because that is hard to find in life today.

I hope to one day find a man to spend my life with that loves me the way you love Momma. The love you have for her is a love that is hard to find and it is not seen very often. Just knowing that you love her brings me so much happiness in my life. The two of you are the perfect pair. I love you! God could not have picked a better husband for her than you. Thank you for being who you are to her.

I know that I may complain when you call me 20 times a day but the truth is that I would be lost if it was any other way. I love knowing that you love me enough to make me call you when I get to where and I am going and when I leave. I also love that you call me to check on me when I forget to tell you that I arrived at where I was headed. You never stop caring about me and I am so lucky to have someone who cares about me the way that you do.

I could write over a million things to thank you for but I will stop at five. These five things are just a few of the things I have to thank you for. I could never be the person I am today if there wasn’t so much of you in me. Thank you for loving me and raising me. Thank you for being the perfect father. I am so lucky to be your daughter.
