Dear Grandparents,
First of all, thank you for being the coolest people around. Really though, you're awesome.
Thank you for food. I mean really, you always have and make the best food. The endless amounts of junk food mom and dad never let me eat are always available at your house. The pasta, mashed potatoes, brownies, jello, and the occasional fruit bowl are always among my favorites when visiting you.
Thank you for being an escape from reality and life at home. Whenever things get too hectic back at home, I always know that I can go to your house. I will only be questioned if I feel like talking and if I don't, the topic is ignored and we can easily move on.
Thank you for always having the best board games and activities to do 24/7. Collecting various coins from all over was always an exciting event, along with 'Trouble' matches and when we got sick of that, 'Jenga' was always a good back up. And even though the puzzles always took a long time, they were just another excuse for me to keep coming back to finish them.
Thank you for getting me to and from school, dance practices, various sports practices and thanks for being at those practices, front row, to cheer me on every game. It was always better having such a supportive audience.
Thank you for always having surprise 'goodies' on random days. Whether it was a surprise trip to get ice cream or McDonald's or even a new book to read and share thoughts on. And when I got old enough to drive, thanks for the occasional $20 for gas money.
Thank you for taking me to the coolest new places. From the zoo, to the Statue of Liberty, to Hershey Park and even the movies, going places with you both was always more fun.
Thank you for playing outside with me. Digging in the dirt, playing basketball, swimming, playing catch, sledding, the list goes on. While playing outside, thank you for telling me to 'toughen up' when I got hurt and giving me popsicles and ice cream just because.
Lastly, thank you for being my favorite people in the entire world. I mean it, I like you both more than mom and dad (shh don't tell them). You both mean more to me than you could ever imagine and I just want to make sure you know that. You're constant compliments, gifts, love and everything else you've given me are more than appreciated. I look forward to all of the new adventures that we will encounter together and am so grateful for all of the adventures in the past. I hope that you both know how much you are loved and how much you mean to me and that you never forget it. So, thank you, for every and any little thing that we have ever been through together, good times and bad. I love you more.
Thank you,
Me
