Thank You Letter To My First Friend Group

Hey there sisters,

I know you guys will all get all mushy and emotional over this. First off, thanks for being you. Honestly, you all were the first solid friend group I ever had. Thank you for going through the award stage with me and admitting that we as a whole looked pretty bad pre-puberty. Thank you for the countless memories, inside jokes, and always being people I can depend on. Thank you for being their through the good and the bad, the boys and the other friendships. You have quite literally been there for some of the hardest parts of my life and I could not imagine growing up without you guys.

Thank you for keeping in touch and making an effort. I know we all went our separate ways, but I love that we all still try to get together at the least once a year. Thank you for changing as we grew up but not changing our bond. You all have been a solid foundation in my life that I can go to with anything.

Thanks for being there for the worst of me. The braces, awkward, pimple-faced me. Thank you for standing up for me when I was too shy. Thank you for being my mom when I needed advice, my partner in crime when I wanted to be mischievous, and my protector when I went through difficult times.

I would be lying if I said I did not compare every friendship to the one with you girls. You have shown me what is like to be in a friendship that build you up, that allows you to be yourself, and that proves what love is. There is nothing I wouldn't do for all of you. I know I do not say it enough, but I appreciate every single one of you. I love each of you individually and equally as us as a friend group.

I love that the girls I loved to hang out with on the playground are also the girls I want next to me for any huge life event. I hate to brag but we are #squadgoals. Who would have thought that 5 year old me would find friends that would last a lifetime. Since Kinder <3

Much Love,

An Appreciative Friend

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
