Guys, let's face it, your girlfriend does a lot for you that goes unnoticed. Take a second out of your day today and share your gratitude with them. Here are just a few of the things that you should thank your girlfriend for this year:
1. Keeping us updated on what is in style
As embarrassing as it is to say, without my girlfriend, I would still be rocking cargo shorts. Whether your girlfriend has pushed you to get rid of your patchy beard, your cherished old shirt with the hole in the armpit (you know the one I'm talking about), or your worn out Nike shoes, they keep us from looking like dweebs.
2. Always taking the last bite of food
We didn't want the nub of the hot dog, or the crust of the pizza anyway.
3. Being our partner in crime
Whether it's staying up till 2:00 a.m. to see a rare sighting of South Georgia snow flurries, or taking a spontaneous day trip, you are always up for anything.
4. Taking thousands of random pictures of us
Though at the time we may not appreciate it, the random pictures you take document our adventures and preserve our memories.
5. Tolerating our impulse purchases
Whether we buy a motorcycle or a fishing boat to pursue our dreams as a professional bass angler, you stand behind us 100 percent and we can't honestly thank you enough for that.
6. Always "having our six"
This is especially important in college when we are trying to figure out what we want to do with the rest of our lives. It makes things just a bit easier knowing that no matter what path in life we choose to go down, you will always have our backs and support us the whole way through.
7. Laughing at our jokes (no matter how funny they really are)
Ladies, we know that not all of our jokes are "Friends" or "Seinfeld" material, but you still laugh at them to make us feel better about ourselves.
8. Giving up control of the T.V. remote every fall
We know that you would much rather be watching something on TLC, but thank you for being a good sport and watching football with us every weekend.
9. Always being our plus-one
From weddings, to family barbecues, you are always happy to be by our side at every special event and it makes the event that much more special having you there.
10. "Stealing" our clothes
Ladies, having you wear our shirts is about as close as we can get to taping a sign that reads "taken" to your back. Thank you for always gladly wearing our big t-shirts and sweatshirts.
Though the list could go on forever, these are the most important things you should take time out of your day to thank your girlfriend for. Let's face it fellas, they deserve it.
