Hamilton won the Tony award for the Best Musical this season, and it changing the lives of all who have stumbled across it. Whether the witness be reading articles about it, listening to the soundtrack, watching clips, or trying to desperately gather the money, it is impacting so many lives.
However, tickets have recently been really unattainable. At over $1,000 dollars for a ticket to witness the glory, this show has become a dream of many young people immersed in the world of theatre.
For those of you not as immersed, lets give you a breakdown of why you should be running to get tickets when they go on sale for a date near you.
1. It won ELEVEN TONY AWARDS this season.

It may not have broken the record for the most wins, but it broke a record with the most TONY nominations for a single show. and that's pretty cool.
2. Oh, and a GRAMMY.
#Gram4Ham, need I say more?
3. It's historically accurate.
The story accurately depicts the life of Alexander Hamilton and the people who seriously impacted his life. It does this while using one.single. set. They don't move or change anything at all, and got very creative with the prop works. The story was written based on his biography by the lovely author, Lin Manuel Miranda
4. It's not type cast.
The casting for this show was meant to be very diverse. The original cast of Hamilton looks nothing like any of the characters should be, and its PHENOMENAL. The Schuyler sisters are a bunch of diverse beauties with the voices of angels, but they would not necessarily have been cast if the show was meant to follow type casting. Yay Diversity!
5. The lyrics are on point. all the time.
"Dying is easy young man, living is harder"
"The ten dollar founding father without a father."
"You have no control who lives, who dies, who tells your story."
6. It's RAP. IN. A. MUSICAL.
Not many people are big on rap, but this musical does it with such elegance while covering the life of Alexander Hamilton. The raps cover things such as cabinet meetings, parties, and battles that occur throughout the course of the musical. So if you aren't ready to spend the money, the album is on spotify.
7. It's going on tour.
#MoreAfforadableTickets. Thank god. Hamilton is set to start a tour in Chicago this September with an open-ended run with tickets starting around $60. Praise god, thank you.
8. The Debut of new Broadway Actors/Actresses.
This show was a starting ground for many actors and actresses. This show allowed them to begin their careers and branch out into many other shows as their careers progress. As a girl who still aspires to be on Broadway, I wish this would happen to me.
9. The Laughter.
This show has so many emotions. You will laugh, I guarantee. Even if it is one laugh, its there. Especially when the song "You'll be back" comes around and you realize its a love song from England to the U.S.
10. The TEARS.
But at the same time......you're going to experience a full spectrum of feels. So many parts of this show will make you want to cry because you are so immersed in the show. You start growing love for the characters, and want nothing bad to happen to them. It's like watching a 2 hour long episode of your favorite show, with a more drama.
Overall, Hamilton is a force to be reckoned with. It should be heard and seen by all, simply for the educational value that isn't always taught in school. Sure, you go over Hamilton in history class, but personally we never really dove into his life and seen what was behind the scenes. With this musical, you see all.
