There is next to no money you would have to pay to join the organization. Even with dues, APO is one of the cheapest fraternities you can join! Perfect for every broke college kid.

2. There is absolutely no hazing, ever.

Hazing is not tolerated in the fraternity. If there are ever any accounts of hazing, they are taken very seriously and taken care of in the appropriate manner.

3. Everyone likes to help other people.

Everyone joined the fraternity for a reason: they like to help others. The people who join APO want to make an impact on the community around them and desire to enrich the lives of the people they help.

4. You learn how to serve the community around you.

Being part of Alpha Phi Omega, you discover a variety of different ways you can help the community. From gardening, to dog-walking, to chaperoning galas, there are a multitude of places where you can dedicate your service.

5. You will become a brother of a nationally-known organization.

Alpha Phi Omega is one of the most well-known fraternities in the nation, with over 500 chapters and over 25,000 active members. It is well-known for being a fraternity dedicated to service in the community, nation and world.

6. You realize doing service is fun, especially with friends.

If a service site has open spots, then you can be for sure there will be APO bros at the event. Not only for service, but any on-campus event, such as Relay for Life, Dance Marathon, etc. There will be APO bros attending. You will never have to help others by yourself.

7. APO is an all-inclusive family.

After becoming an Alpha Phi Omega, your brothers accept you no matter what. No one is turned down from rushing Alpha Phi Omega and all the brothers you meet will be like a family away from home.

8. You learn the true meaning of serving others.

Being a part of Alpha Phi Omega, you begin to see the impact that your service has on the community surrounding you. You see how much a few hours of service can improve the community around you immensely and benefit others more than you could have imagined.

9. You develop crucial leadership skills.

There are multiple leadership roles in APO, as well as courses that teach you how to lead others more effectively. These are skills that will benefit you in the real world and in your future career.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
