10 Disney Channel Movies You Probably Forgot About

"And you're watching an original Disney Channel movie". Those were the words that would get me excited. I wouldn't even be watching the tv but I could hear those words and immediately my focus would change. I would wait for the Disney Channel original movie theme song / opener and figure out what movie it was. Normally you could tell from the beginning song or maybe just from the credits because you'd seen it so many times. But obviously, there were so many original Disney channel movies that we have forgotten about some. So here's ten Disney Channel movies we forgot.

1. My Date With the President's Daughter (1998)

Okay, so I never thought this movie was realistic at all. Like yes, of course, a boy just happens to need a date to the dance and meet a random girl at the mall. Oh, and she just happens to be the President's daughter. However, after seeing Malia Obama having a little too much fun at Lollapalooza, maybe it is a possibility. Either way, fantastic movie.

2. Smart House (1999)

What a great movie. I was always fascinated by this movie and the technology this house has. But one thing: it's 2016 and my house isn't like this. It's been seventeen years, I'm highly disappointed.

3. The Thirteenth Year (1999)

When I was younger and I watched this, I thought it was the coolest thing ever. But I bet some people thought it was really weird. However, with the mermaid fad that some girls have now-a-days I'm sure people would love it now. Plus a mer-man. They're the minority.

4. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999)

Honestly, this is one of my favorite movies of all time. A girl living in space? A boy band coming to play in space? Raven before she was Raven? Could it get any better than this?

5. Motocrossed (2001)

I mean I already knew girls were awesome and could do everything just as well as boys could but now the world can see it. Motocrossing is a guy's thing? Not anymore.

6. Quints (2000)

QUINTS? Five babies at once? I feel like this is the octo-mom but a little better. But like a teenager having not just one crying baby but five. Yikes, no thanks.

7. The Luck of the Irish (2001)

A movie showing a boy's Irish heritage while also giving kids fake impressions about leprechauns; I have mixed emotions but still a great movie.

8. Cadet Kelly (2002)

Love the added military aspect to this Disney movie. Something new. Very original.

9. Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off (2003)

A boy who can play baseball and cook? Finally we have a character who isn't limited by the stereotypes of society. You go, Eddie!

10. Stuck in the Suburbs (2004)

As a teenage girl, this movie would be a dream come true. Switching phones with a famous singers and then just becoming friends with him? Yeah, okay I'd be down for that.

Now we're all going to have to make a list of movies we need to watch. Honestly, a lot of these movies are on at like three am on Disney Channel so if you want to watch them and pull an all nighter, be my guest. Hopefully you have DVR and can watch all these fun, old movies whenever you want.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
