In case you missed it, teaser trailers for Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events and the new Power Rangers movie both dropped this past week. My inner ten year old is having the best week ever.

A Series of Unfortunate Events was made into a movie starring Jim Carrey back in 2004, but many fan sites of the books, including me, felt the film didn't quite do the Series justice. That said, it's so exciting to see Netflix, who has a reputation for great original series', turn my favorite childhood books turned into what is sure to be a great show. Plus, it's set to premiere on Friday, January 13th, which is super on par with the aesthetic of the show. Also, fans of the books might want to watch the trailer a couple times to catch all the Easter eggs.

Now, I was far more skeptical when I heard they were making a Power Rangers movie. My first thought was 'This isn't going to be worse than the Fanastic Four remake.' But this new teaser trailer has given me a glimmer of hope. I might even mark the release date on my calendar.
