As we all know, Target has enforced a new bathroom policy allowing customers to use the bathroom that they wish to use. If they identify as a woman, they are allowed to use the women's restroom. If they identify as a man, they are allowed to use the men's room. Target is just trying to let their customers know that their needs are important and that Target accepts their customers as they are.

However, there have been some very unhappy customers and social media viewers regarding the new policy. The main reason people are upset is because they are scared that they will be sexually assaulted in bathrooms and do not think it would make a safe environment for others. This article may not change your mind, but you need to hear this from someone who not only works for Target, but someone that has been sexually assaulted and felt the most vulnerable in the safest places.

The first thing you need to know is that a criminal who wants to sexually assault someone does not care where the person is or what they are doing. I was walking through a hospital when I was sexually assaulted. Whether Target made the policy or not, it was just as likely to happen. They do not care about your feelings, who you are, what your life is like, or what you are doing with your life. If a sex offender wants it, they go after it thinking about no one else but themselves.

Let me also inform you that sexual assault is not something to take lightly. Being a 14-year-old girl walking through a hospital just to be groped by some scumbag is still traumatizing to this day. Target also does not take it lightly. Target always has security in the building at all times. Target takes the safety of customers and associates very seriously and has a heavy amount of surveillance inside and outside of the building. It is hard to get away with anything at Target.

Finally, I want you to know that Target is one of the few places that I feel safe in. I am surrounded by amazing customers and an amazing team that have my back when I need them. We all work together really well, we get along, and we are never afraid to help one another out because we care about each other. I have not worked for Target long, but I have enjoyed being surrounded by people that care about my well-being.

I just want everyone to know that no matter where you are or what you are doing, be safe and protect who you love. I would not wish this type of crime on my worst enemy, and neither does Target. Please do not boycott Target. If you do, you are missing out on some great people and some great sales!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
