There comes a time in almost every persons' life where they decide that it is time to try coffee for the first time. More than likely, they decide, “Why not try Starbucks?” They probably have seen their parents or friends with Starbucks in hand. There are some people who decide that coffee is not for them, but then there are others like me who love it. Now, I’m not saying that I’m addicted to Starbucks, but all signs lead to it.
Here are some of the telltale signs that you might be addicted to Starbucks.
1. As soon as you wake up you think about Starbucks.
There is nothing wrong with this. I love coffee -- especially when I don’t have to make it myself.
2. You might actually get up early enough to make sure that you can get Starbucks before your day starts.
I’ll admit that I go to campus early enough in the morning to get coffee before my class. I just need to switch from being a zombie to a functional human.
3. The barista either spells your name right every time or you have nicknames.
It makes me so happy when the baristas spells my name right. Either they care or my name is just spelled differently and they remember. Either way I’m cool with it.
4. You have collected enough points to be a gold member for at least two years.
Yes, it’s a problem. I earned my gold card within two months of starting my Starbucks card.
5. You have perfectly timed your visit around the rush.
Being a junior in college means I have mastered the perfect schedule of when to get coffee during the day.
6. You’ve finished a trenta and thought to yourself, “This is not enough.”
The tea is just too good to not have more.
7. When you need a pick-me-up, the first place you think of is Starbucks.
Caffeine!
8. You buy Starbucks even though you really shouldn’t be spending money.
Haven’t we all made a choice between food and coffee? I know I have, and coffee usually wins.
9. Sitting in a Starbucks is like sitting at a five-star spa.
10. You’re never afraid to change up your drink order because you love everything on the menu.
11. You consider Starbucks to be a second home.
Being in college may have made me love coffee a little bit more.
