Taking risks can be scary which leads many people to steer clear of taking risks or making changes. I took a risk by transferring schools, from a distant school to back to my home town. These are some things that I gained and lost by taking a risk.
Things I gained:
1. I was able to keep my job at home work throughout going to school instead of constantly being poor.
2. I was able to spend more time with my friends and family at home.
3. I saved money going to a school in state verses out of state.
Things I lost:
1. I lost constantly having people around because of having my roommates always around.
2. I lost the beach (because I went to school in Rhode Island).
3. I lost the connection I had had with my friends and professors I previously had.
Taking risks is scary but if you can find a balance between your gains and losses then it will help you feel like you made the right decision.
