Take Yourself Out On A Date
Sean Hnedak

Honey, you deserve a date. You deserve a sexy, sweet, classy date with the best person I know. In fact, I can set you up with this person right now. Yes, I mean right now. Come on, don't be shy. I promise you, it won't be hard because I know you will love this person. And you will never guess who this person is; it is yourself. Yes, you! The wonderful, talented you! Why not take yourself on a date? It isn't that hard. I know the idea about going on a date with yourself sounds weird, but just think about it for a second. You can forget being nervous about meeting another person. No need to sweat or spend time worrying about what you are going to wear to impress someone. It will be great. All you need to do is make yourself feel good. You deserve a bit of "me time." It's time to relax and treat yourself well. So, why not? Go on a date with yourself. Here are a few ways to do just that.

1. You can buy yourself food.

Go have the food you have been craving. Why not? It doesn't have to be expensive. And if you know you will love it, the food will be worth the price.

2. Buy yourself flowers.

You don't have to wait for a guy to show up at your door and bring you flowers. It isn't the 1900s anymore. It's the 21st century. Now, I have to admit, getting flowers from someone you like feels amazing, but spark up the place you live in. Get some flowers to fill your space. They are gorgeous, so you can't go wrong.

3. Buy yourself chocolate.

This sounds yummy already. Don't lie to yourself and say you don't want it. You know you do.

4. You can get free things.

You should take advantage of the free things. Go for a nice, casual stroll through my favorite warehouse I call Costco. Stop by every lane as if you were playing a game and get free samples. This is what I do, at least, when I am bored and hungry.

5. Go on a stroll.

If Costco wasn't your ideal place for a stroll, go for a stroll around the park, the mall or anywhere else you find relaxing. The whole idea is to clear your mind.

6. Go for a walk on the beach.

Don't ever turn down a walk on the beach. If you live close to the beach or it is a doable driving distance, take advantage of it. The beach is not only beautiful, but it is relaxing. And if you get to ride a horse like this guy, even better.

7. And relax by watching a movie at night.

You have so many options, you can't turn this idea down. From romances, to comedies, to romantic comedies, to action, to thriller, you have a lot of genres. Plus, with all the ways you can access TV and movies nowadays, legally and illegally, you can't get out of it. Keep in mind, I am not suggesting you should watch movies illegally.

8. Remind yourself of how beautiful you are.

And most of all, tell yourself you are beautiful because honey, you are! Everyone is beautiful and unique in some way. You don't need someone to remind you of this. So remember, no matter how you decide to take yourself out on a date, treat yourself well.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
