Cherish Even The Stressful Moments In Life
Don't ever let life try to drag you down or make you feel like you can't, because YOU CAN.
Oftentimes I find myself overworked, exhausted and wondering when the busyness will end. Life always feels like a go go go situation and it's hard to get out of the bind that it swallows us in. But stress is good. It's healthy. It's motivating. It also conjures up a lot of fear, intensity, and panic sometimes.
I know that in my life, it seems like I can never catch a break. Once I finish one project or one task around the house, something else seems to pop up. It's like life is on a constant repeat game of whack-a-mole. But what I've learned is that even in the stressful moments, I need to cherish them. When my to-do-list is stacked a mile high and I cross each task off one by one, I get energized, I feel unstoppable. I know it's crazy to get excited about getting the little things done like going shopping, making dinner, sending out the bills, or completing homework. Maybe in your lives, you're raising kids, or have other responsibilities and you feel overwhelmed, but at the end of the day, you lay in bed and take a big sigh of relief thinking, "Wow. I did it." And then the next day you have to wake up and say, "Alright, what's next? Let's do this."
Recently, I had a video project I needed to complete for a class and I was at school ALL DAY LONG. I had classes in the morning, worked on the video in the afternoon, had a meeting in the early evening, and worked on my project more until 1:30 a.m. By that time, I had to catch an Uber back home and I fell asleep around 3 a.m. The next morning, I had an 8 a.m. class and had to give a presentation with dark black bags under my eyes and only four hours of sleep to rely on. The day before and after were just as busy too and I felt like it was never-ending. But when I thought about it, I realized that you only get back what you put into life. If you're busting your butt, chances are, you'll get rewarded in some way or another.
When I look back on times in life that seemed so stressful that I wasn't sure how I was going to make it all happen, somehow, I pulled through. I am so appreciative for those moments because it's taught me work ethic, persistence, and dedication. It's taught me to enjoy the beauty of life. Life isn't always easy and it never goes the way you want it to, but keeping a positive attitude can make all the difference.
I know life is stressful, but sit down, take a breath, and when you're ready, think, "bring it on!" You're stronger and capable of so much more than you think, so don't ever let life try to drag you down or make you feel like you can't, because YOU CAN.
