That moment you’ve been fantasizing about for over a week now is finally here: You are finished with finals and don’t have to study any more. The one downside to this? Spending a long winter break away from the dreamland that is college.
While this will probably be a difficult task, we’ll have to make the best of it. I’ll probably lie around and finish watching “One Tree Hill” while my stepdad complains about me doing nothing around the house. Some people are in the same boat as me, but others are using their six weeks to their full advantage, like my classmates here at school:

“I’m going to be perfecting my six inch ribbon curls, honey!” – Ellie Papageorge, junior
“While it may be difficult to part from having friends within walking distance, partying on the weekend, and entertaining the lifestyle of a Miami students, I always find a way to bring a bit of it home with me.” – Ben Joplin, junior
“I plan to help my sorrows during break by binge watching Netflix, eating Christmas cookies, and scrapbooking.” – Elizabeth Collins, junior

"Well, where do I start... I'll clean my room so I have more room for activities, replay the monotone voices of my professors over and over, and ponder criticism from other professors." – Kyle Spampinato, junior
“I plan to pass the time by petting my dog, shopping with money I don’t have, and rewatching ‘The Office.’ ” –Lindsey Sewall, junior
“I’ll survive the cold days in New York away from Oxford by chilling with my boys, eating dank food, and going to the city and talking to women.” – Matt Bernacchia, sophomore
“I’m going to read with my cats. Also maybe with my husband.” – Sarah Zaffiro, senior
“During break I’m going to sit aimlessly in my room alone, wrapped like a burrito in a blanket, counting the seconds until I make my glorious return to Oxford.” – Delaina Weinroth, juniorWhether you’re trying to simply survive your time at home or you’re lucky enough to stay on your college campus, do your best to relax. Hang out with your parents until you start to annoy them. Overstay your welcome at your best friend’s college. Binge-eat way too much from your favorite restaurant at home. Most importantly, count down the days until the super-hyped return to your school.
