The party of the summer is approaching! Pretty soon the redneck in all of us will be packing our lifted trucks for a weekend of country music, drinking, and good times. Nothing but adrenaline will be pulsing through our bodies while we make the trek to Michigan's International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI. This list will help you not only have the best weekend of your summer, but also prepare you for the chaos ahead. Enjoy!

1. Register your wristband!

By now, you should have probably received your wristband in the mail. This is super important! This is what admits you into the festival every night, and also allows you to camp! Go to fasterhorsesfestival.com and follow the registration instructions. Easy as pie.

2. Bring shade & chairs!

Those half canopy-tent things? Yeah. Get one of those. Trust me. You will need a break from the sun. Also, campfire chairs because the ground isn't all that fun.

3. Sunscreen!

Its hot, its humid, and it can be miserable. The actual festival area has no shade. You're in the middle of a field for crying out loud. Please do not get burnt on the first day and cry every time you move for the rest of the weekend.

4. Set up your campsite before you do anything.

Before cracking open that first beer of the trip, make sure your tent is secure and everything is in it's place. This also means to prepare yourself and your campsite for any drastic weather changes...cough cough...rain! Just trust me on this one.

5. Get to the concerts early!

From personal experience, you need perseverance and determination. I would get there several artists before the final performance, and by the time the big name took the stage I was able to push myself to the front of the crowd. Miranda Lambert stared into my soul. I kid you not, I was that close.

6. If you don't have patience, you better find some.

Standing in that crowd, especially to get a good view, you are legit shoulder to shoulder with everyone trying to do the same. People will walk in front of you, behind you, push you, lean against you. Do not be that d*ckhead that gets pissed off at every single soul that you have an encounter with. You're at a music festival with thousands of others...chill fam. Make friends.

7. Bring so much water you'll drown.

I'm not even kidding. Yes, you may be 'hydrating' yourself with another beverage, but at the end of the day you will be wanting to jump into a lake of natural spring water. Also, the concert grounds allow you to bring in unopened plastic water bottles and have free refill stations. Please stay hydrated.

8. Eat to live, don't live to eat.

This is not some five star facility, nor should you pack like you're trying to eat like one. Only bring easy, grab and go snacks. Maybe bring a loaf of bread and your favorite lunch meat. Cold fried chicken, meat sticks, munchies, pre-hard boiled eggs for protein, and a large sub sandwich cut into small pieces. Make sure you always have some food in your system this entire weekend.

9. Stay until the very end

After the concerts conclude head on over to the after party slash dance club hosted by Dee Jay Silver. This is a little break from country music and a place for you to twerk yo booty off.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
