Sundays as a college student are an adventure within themselves. After a long weekend spent procrastinating homework and escaping "real" life, the average college student spends Sunday coming to terms with the fact that the next day is Monday. Sundays are vital to recover and reflect on the true reason we are away at school: for school. And, although the thought of waking up for your 9 a.m. tomorrow sounds anything short of appealing, it is the sole purpose of why we are at college. Truthfully, instead of spending my Sunday catching up on my emails and homework, I typically lounge and watch Netflix until I fall asleep (only to wake up anxious that I haven't started my homework due tomorrow yet). Here is a list of things that college students could actually be doing on Sundays to get an early start on the week:
- Do your homework
- Organize
- Work ahead in your classes (so you can actually watch Netflix for a day and not feel guilty about it)
- Clean your room
- Do laundry
- Grocery shop (if you no longer have the luxury of a meal plan)
- Read a book (simply because you enjoy doing it)
- Work out
- Download new music
- Call your mom (just because you want to)
Spend your Sunday's being semi-productive, so that you can start your week at feeling refreshed and renewed instead of feeling anxious and unprepared.
But remember, it's okay to be lazy sometimes.
