“Oh, what a beautiful morning! Oh, what a beautiful day! I have a beautiful feeling, everything’s going my way.” (Curly, from the musical "Oklahoma.")
The world is waking up after a long, cold winter. It was like the world was dead, and now once again, everything is coming alive and ushering in the promise of another spring. Animals awaken from hibernation and start coming out more and more frequently. The flowers begin to push their way to the sun and peak out their faces to greet a new day. The trees are beginning to bloom. Is there anything better than springtime?
The sun is shining happily over everything, and the world is basking in the happiness that the return of the sun brings with it. Windows can now be opened without freezing yourself out, and there is no reason to keep the fans on high in order to keep you cool.
However, this sudden appearance of spring makes everything else hard to concentrate on. Who wants to sit in class, do homework or even study when it is so beautiful outside? You just want to be outside all day, every day. As great as that sounds, you really can’t. You still have a few weeks to go before school is out. You need to focus in order to make it to that finish line. Here are three things to do.
1. Force yourself to go to all of your classes.
2. Treat yourself with outside time.
3. Do your homework and studying outside.
This spring break, soak up as much outside time as you can, so you can come back ready to get to work and less likely be distracted by spring.
