Ah, sweet sweet summertime. We can finally kick off our heels and relax. Sure, we may have some obligations, but we can truly feel free during these few months. Part of that is because there's always some songs we go back to in order to reminisce on those nights of fun we had and will continue to have. Here are some songs that scream summertime fun.
1. "Tim McGraw" - Taylor Swift
Had to start off with a classic. 2006 was a great time for Taylor Swift, and this song is just as good now.
2. "Cool For The Summer" - Demi Lovato
It's edgy and blurs the lines between rock and pop. What more could you want to jam out to this summer?
3. "Drunk on You" - Luke Bryan
I mean, he says "high on summertime", people--no further explanation necessary.
4. "Bubbly" - Colbie Caillat
I just love the mellow music and her soft vocals are simply perfect. A great chill song for the beach or something like that.
5. "Summer" - Calvin Harris
I couldn't include Taylor and not include her current beau, Calvin. This song epitomizes the party circuit of summer though, which is why it had to make this list.
6. "Come Clean" - Hilary Duff
Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but think of MTV's "Laguna Beach," which meant beaches, boys and everything in-between. Summer bliss, right there if you ask me. Even if you don't live in California, we can all dream, right?
7. "Forever Young" - Youth Group
An older song, but still a classic for a reason. It's essentially about how much fun it is to be young--and who doesn't feel young, wild and free in the summer?
8. "We Were Us" - Keith Urban ft. Miranda Lambert
This is the perfect song to listen to on Friday nights when you're hanging out with your friends and having drinks or watching movies. It's the best danceable country music song, plus you get Keith and Miranda on one track--how cool is that!
9. "You Sound Good to Me" - Lucy Hale
Even though she's traditionally known as an actress, Lucy Hale did actually start singing first. This song proves she's got some killer chops, while the guitar strums/banjo in the background make the track so fun and upbeat. Wonderful for driving around town with your windows down.
