We all count down the days, hours, minutes, and even seconds to what any student knows as freedom. No more waking up at the crack of dawn to drag your sleepy butt to class. No more all-nighters full of endless studying. No more stress induced anxiety attacks. Once summer hits all of the stress from school evaporates. For some, summer is the time to get a job and make a few bucks while you’re off. Others may use this time to just lay around and relax, or go on some wild adventure. Either way, there is always some way to have fun during these three months off. Here are some ways to make the most out of your summer.

1. Have A Bonfire

There’s nothing like roasting a few dogs while catching up, or telling stories. Then for dessert, you can never go wrong with a messy s’more.

2. Go on a Road Trip

You could go anywhere that you want, the possibilities are endless! Dream big or go local, it’s really all about making the memories.

3. Show an Outdoor Movie

These screens are so easy to make! All you need are some PVC pipes, a sheet, and some clips. Then grab a projector and your favorite movie and you're good to go.

4. Go to a Waterpark

Enjoy a nice float in the lazy river, or take a plunge down the slide of doom. You can pick your level of excitement.

5. Go on a Hike

Escape from day to day madness by taking a stroll through nature's serenity.

6. Go Stargazing

Fill a truck bed with pillows and blankets to make a cozy spot to see the stars.

7. Have a Cookout

Grill some burgers, pork chops, steak, chicken, hot dogs, and anything else you can fit on the grill. Then play some yard games like corn hole, ladder golf, or badminton.

8. Go to the Lake

There is so much to do at the lake. Just hop in a kayak, canoe, or on a paddle board and you’re off. If you’re feeling more adventurous try riding a jet ski, or go water skiing.

9. Go Fishing

You might catch the big Bertha of all fish, or it could just be a stick. Either way it’s worth a try.

10. Go Enoing

It’s always more fun to hang out with your friends.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
