As the first day of summer has come and gone the summer trends are just getting started. Now that Coachella is has set the mood for summer trends they are finally coming to life. The first day of summer is the beginning to the statement trends that are yet to come this season, these are just a few of the hot summer trends that we are already seeing!

1. Gladiator Sandals

Making their first appearance on the runway, these gladiator sandals are going to be one of the biggest trends this summer. Last summer it was the low gladiators, but this summer it is all about the up the calf gladiators. You can get ones that buckle, zip or lace up your leg. You can get a pair similar to this one from DSW. These shoes are perfect a girls night out or at a concert, just don't wear them out in the sun too long because those tan lines are not pretty.

2. Off The Shoulder Tops

These tops were an absolute hit at Coachella this year and now you see them popping up in all of your favorite stores! The off the shoulder gives it a more sexy but classy look everyone is looking for. 3. Chokers

Speaking of chokers, this is another trend that is sweeping the internet by storm. Every Instagram post I see they're wearing a choker of some sorts. Whether it is a suede one, or a long one that you can tie up in different lengths. I remember wearing chokers when I was in elementary school, so the fact that they are coming back is saying something. 4. Denim Skirts

The denim skirts are back ladies! This is a trend that I have been waiting to come back! When I saw my first denim skirt in stores for the first time in year I just about screamed because I was so excited! 5. Bodysuits

This is probably my favorite trend to come around this summer! Bodysuits are just a complete blessing in disguise, they fit so perfectly and go amazing with any type of high waisted pants or shorts. You no longer have that issue of wanting to tuck your shirt it but it being too short or having it bunch up in places. Bodysuits are just about the only thing that are in my closet right now and I am totally okay with it.
