Its always fun to mix up your style and makeup. Here are some current trends you can have some fun trying out!
1. Chokers and Dainty Necklaces
Chokers have been trying to make their way back into to style and the time is now! You style them casual, dressy, or even with your swim suit looks. One of the most common ways you're seeing chokers this summer is stacked with necklaces of varying lengths. Mixing and matching is encouraged!
2. Braids
We have to give Kylie credit for this one. Braids are a common trend in the summer but this year everyone's enjoying the dutch style braids! It's low maintenance, fly-aways make it better, and it'll keep your hair out of your face all day.
3. Sparkle / metallic lip
We were rocking matte lips all fall and winter long but this summer we're switching up the game. Its common for our new trends to come from whatever the opposite of whatever our last trend was. We get tired of seeing the same thing in style and fashion so style flip flops to the opposite of what we're used to. Keeps things interesting! These metallic lip products come with different names. You can find them in lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, and even lip glosses. You may have seen that Kylie came out with metal shades in her lipsticks range but you don't have to dish out that kind of money. Milani came out with some limited edition Metal Lip Cremes that claim to have the longevity and feel of a matte product but have a metallic finish. I would suggest shopping at CVS to look at the new metallic lip products!
4. Metallic fabrics
Metallic fabrics were all over the runways for the spring and summer. You can dress it casual with a crop top, perfect for the summer heat, or dress it up with a metallic skirt or dress. Our favorite stores like Forever 21, Pac Sun, and Charolette Russe have put out metallic peices for the summer that are budget friendly. For example, this simple metallic tank below can currently be found at Charolette Russe for about $13.
5. Matte eye makeup
Anastasia Beverly Hills recently came out with this eyeshadow palette that many people are obsessing over! Its a mostly matte palette with only a couple pops of shimmery shades. Blended matte eyeshadow looks are easy to do and well loved by anyone from makeup beginners to makeup professionals. You can rock matte shadows, or even bronzers, that are already in your collection but if you're interested in this pallete its a permanent item on anastasiabeverlyhills.com
6. Jandals
These comfy shoes are essential. They run about $10 and come in a variety of colors. You can find them at many stores. Google them to find them in your local area if you're interested.
7. Highlight
Highlighting and strobing aren't a new trend but we are running with it full force this summer. You can find tons of highlighting products at any drugstore or beauty store. Highlighting the high points of the face gives the skin a beautiful healthy looking glow. You can also highlight your collar bones and shoulders to extend the glowy theme.
8. Reflective Colorful Sunglasses
It's summertime so we of course have to talk about shades! Gorgeous right? These are typically very inexpensive. You can find these sunglasses in just about every color but this summer our favorite sunnies have a color shift or ombre effect.
9. Chunky Funky Sunglasses
If you're craving glasses that are more fun and spunky, try out new shapes! Many of these big chunky sunglasses come in fierce cat eye shapes, which seems to be a current favorite. You can also find a lot of people wearing large sunglasses that have lots of flowers decorated around the lenses. Try something new!
10. Half Up Hair
There is beauty in the simple things. If you haven't already tried out this hairstyle, I really recommend it. It looks good on everyone and it looks good whether you style it messy or polished. You can't mess it up! It's also great if you're in a hurry and you can rock it all day long without worrying about it getting messy. We all love a good messy bun, right?
11. Natural or Low Maintenance Hair
Rock what you got. We're embracing all hair types this summer. Now its in style to not do your hair! Why wasn't this in style earlier? Whether you have super straight hair, curly hair, or somewhere in between, leave it be and love your natural locks.
