Summer Plans As Told By Ross Geller

Spending summer at home, away from college, can be both freeing and stressful. While you're beyond glad you don't have to take an exam for a couple months, you realize you're an adult and should be doing adult things! Internships to build connections and working to start paying off those student loans. Despite having to balance responsibility around the house and work or internships, summer break is a time to relax and enjoy a summer full of memories. Good thing Ross Geller is here to be the voice of all your possible summer plans.

You wake up on the first day of summer after catching up on some much needed sleep.

Where am I again? This isn't a dorm room...

It's swimsuit season, so getting that golden tan is at the top of your list.

But I mean, you have to be careful about skin cancer, so you just decide to get a half tan.

You get to spend some quality time with your pet.

They love the attention, and how can you resist their cuteness?

You reunite with your bestie.

Nothing has changed.

Now's a good time to make all those recipes you've been sharing on Facebook.

"The only thing weird would be if someone didn't like Mexican food!"

When your family asks you about your plans for the summer:

Or worse, your plans for the future. Umm ... try to be an adult?

You hit all the summer parties with those moves you've been perfecting all year.

Flawless.

You're working your butt off at your summer job, and you attempt to politely deal with a rude customer.

You try to keep your cool, but are baffled by their lack of manners.

And when they leave, you wish you had handled the customer this way.

No words.

You try out the latest summer trends.

Some are just not meant for everyone. Or anyone, for that matter.

You start to argue with your family after now being around all the time.

You'd rather fight with them than with a roommate, though!

You find an amazing internship opportunity and just have to have it.

It's meant to be.

An epic road trip with friends is bound to happen.

Or at least just driving around listening to your favorite tunes.

You're determined to get fit!

Getting in shape? No problem — round is a shape!

Rearranging your room is a must.

And then changing it all back because it doesn't look right.

You make it through the summer and are proud of all you accomplished.

Slow clap it out.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
