We all know that you are jamming to the same popular song everyone else is listening to also. Even if you try avoiding the pop hits, somehow, you find yourself humming along with it. Every summer, the same thing happens, and you end up joining the crowd, listening to songs that become part of your summer. Your own summer playlist could consist of many songs, but the most well know and popular summer hits as of now include the following.
1. "One Dance" - Drake
Definitely named and applauded as the song of the summer, at any time of the day, in any mood, this song can cheer you up no matter what. It was an instant hit from the release of this song, and not long after Drake’s hit, more singles continue to inspire our summer mornings, days, and of course nights too. Even after summer is over, I'm sure we will all be coming back to this song as if it was brand new.
2. "This Is What You Came For" - Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna
It's the classic DJ dance song for nights when you need some uplifting. Of course, with the addition of Rihanna, we seem to love the song even more. Great beats and better vibes -- this song is the classic night going out jam.
3. "Controlla" - Drake
This song is in the running with Drake’s "One Dance" for summer hit spot No. 1. Being released soon after "One Dance," this song is just as good and popular. With a great beat and relatable lyrics, this song is always on the hit playlist for your car and basically on whenever you can play it.
4. "Don't Mind" - Kent Jones
This is an up-and-coming hot summer song, another song that is constantly playing on the radio this summer. Kent Jones is rising in popularity with his new hit and easily getting recognition.
5. "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" - Adele
The ultimate summer love song. Another song to play at any time of the day, a great mood booster. Adele wows us again with an album that still produces hits. This song is easily one of Adele's top hits.
6. "Sorry" - Beyoncé
What's a summer without a great Beyoncé song? You could compare this song with Drake's top hits, because it easily is one of the best summer songs yet.
Of course, there are more songs that constantly pop up on our radar that are included in our summer jams, and this list only makes up a small portion of that category.
