Summer At Home As Told By Seinfeld

Thank you Seinfeld for understanding what it's like to spend this glorious season at home.

1. When you run into people and they ask you what you're doing for the summer. "Oh, you don't have an internship? Did you say you're working at a sports day camp? Well, that's great for your resume I bet! Awesome job kid..."

2. When mom asks you to do anything and you just think she's absolutely insane.

3. When you have to wake up for work everyday at 7:30 am. You thank the Nap Gods because those beautiful moments of sleep are the reasons you are still breathing.

4. When you count down the days until you're back at school again because you're just THAT bored.

5. When your campers ask a hundred questions constantly. And when your campers cry because they didn't pass the swim test. And when your campers cry because the basketball hit them in the head. And when your campers cry because mom packed them a turkey and cheese Lunchable instead of the pizza one (the best one!).

6. When you're sitting at home waiting for plans that will never happen. And you are exhausted from boredom.

7. When all you do is eat because there's nothing else to do except pile food in your mouth. And when you gain the summer 15 because you just didn't do anything else but consume fatty foods.

8. When you'll do anything to miss a day of work because it sucks THAT much.

9. Everyday after work.

10. When your parents ask you to go somewhere with them.

11. When you try to be positive, but then you realize that positivity just is not as exciting as hating on the world.

12. When mom tells you to enjoy the day but you were just with kids for five hours and need to watch Netflix.

13. And finally, summertime sadness.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
