Summer As Told By The Bachelorette

During the summer, us college students are all faced with a wide array of emotions when we go home. We feel happy that we’re finally getting a break from classes, at least for a little bit. We feel sad that we’re separated from our school friends, yet happy that you can see your friends from home. We feel bored half of the time because there’s nothing to do. So why not look to our favorite men from The Bachelorette to express these emotions?

When you first get home and are so happy to not be in class.

The huge rush of excitement when you realize that you actually have a break. There is nothing like it. Just ask the Waboom guy.

When you hang out with your friends from home who you haven't seen in a while.

You're back with your people! College friends are amazing and there for the long haul, but there's still something special about seeing those friends who've been with you through the diaper year and the awkward ones.

When you run into someone you know from high school.

That dreaded moment when you’re just walking through the grocery store minding your own business and you look up to find that person from high school that you did not miss.

When you are lonely and have no one to hang out with.

At first I thought this guy with the doll was a little odd, but not a couple months into summer, I feel him on a deep level.

When your family asks if you're excited to go back to school.

It's a no brainer. You miss your friends and can't wait to not feel the FOMO that is very real over summer.

When you remember that going back to school means that you have to start classes again soon.

Oh yes, the only downside to returning to school... classes. The reason you're actually supposed to be there but too often forget about. If this guy doesn't represent you in that moment then I don't know what will.

When your parents give you a curfew again.

It's hard adjusting to being home with your parents after living on your own with no rules or curfew for months. The first time your parents tell you to be home by a certain time will definitely hit you hard. But just keep telling yourself it's only for a little while.

When the FOMO hits ... hard.

Need I say more.

When you see all the exciting things that your friends are doing over summer.

As you sit in your bed on hour 6 of Netflix and you see all of the exotic and adventurous places your friends are doing over summer. Just live vicariously through them.

When you really miss your friends from school.

It's hard going from seeing people everyday, sometimes even living with them, to then not seeing them for weeks. I think Kenny can sum up all of those emotions.

But then you remember that it's SUMMER!

Enjoy, relax, and watch The Bachelorette people!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
